Tuition to The Music Box works on a monthly schedule. The recommendation for younger or beginner students is a 30 minute lesson. Once a student has progressed onto the RCM grade repertoire they should begin taking 45 minute lessons as by that point 30 minutes is just not enough. Tuition is as follows:
- $75/month for weekly 30 minute lessons
- $110/month for weekly 45 minute lessons
Both options include student binders containing practice schedules, student goals and theory lessons and assignments. Home practice games are also included for younger students. In this price what isn't included but necessary consists of:
- Any fees related to RCM examinations
- A metronome (required for all RCM grade 1-6 students)
- It is also assumed you have some sort of keyboard, organ or piano at home with which to practice. If a student is unable to practice at home lessons will become painful and rigerous. Practice definitely does make perfect!
